I have never written a blog entirely based on one venue but The Orangery, without doubt, deserves its own special mention.
The Orangery is situated in Maidstone, Kent – The Garden of England. With its many acres of elegantly kept gardens and stunning views across landscaped grounds it is the perfect venue for a wedding.
It was my first visit to the Orangery and as soon as we entered the gate, my mind was blown away. What a beautiful place with such a fantastic atmosphere. We were greeted by Caroline and Jo who were incredibly welcoming towards us videographers. It immediately puts as us ease when we know that the venue is super organised and follows a strict schedule. It makes the wedding day a more pleasant experience for everybody all round. Throughout the day Caroline and Jo were amazing. They kept us completely up-to-date with events and timings and were incredibly hospitable toward us.
In today’s wedding (be sure to checkout the video below) the couple had specifically required an outside ceremony and the organisation of the staff was superb. From radio walkie-talkies and handy men gathering chairs, they really were on top form.
The venue as a whole is considerably well thought out. From the microphone in the pergola to the picturess walk along bridges and planted shrubs the venue offers a grace of experience. The detail throughout is unbelievable and Jo and Caroline really did do everything they could for the couple. I am certain the newlyweds would not have found a single fault in their day at the Orangery.
Throughout weddings we tend to have little to do with the staff during our day through pure busyness on both parties. I think we had chatted to every member of staff in the building and they were all so welcoming and friendly it seemed almost a priority that they greeted everyone with the highest etiquette. The bar staff, waiters and waitresses were very professional and an absolute pleasure to work alongside.
It’s a real shame we don’t have more weddings at The Orangery and we will absolutely recommend the venue to anyone and everyone. It was a great pleasure and we look forward to seeing you soon.
